Over 1,000 acres of green goodness. It’s magnolia season at SF’s botanical garden and there are over 200 magnificent trees with pink, white, and magenta flowers in bloom at the garden! The Japanese Tea Garden is filled with serene elements and feels as if you’ve been transported to Japan. There are native Japanese plants, koi ponds, a Zen garden, and many stepping-stone paths for you to enjoy. Both gardens are free for SF residents and the botanical garden is free for all every second Tuesday which happens to fall on Valentine’s Day. Luckily for our residents at 422 9th Avenue and 430 9th Avenue, Golden Gate Park is only a 12-minute walk or 3-minute drive away!

San Francisco’s Chinatown has some of The City’s best Chinese restaurants, tea shops, souvenir shopping, and karaoke bars. The area is extremely walkable with lots to explore including Dragon’s Gate, the Red Blossom Tea Company, and many small bakeries, shops, and grocers to enjoy. Quirky and divey bars like Buddha Lounge and LiPo Cocktail Lounge are popular spots if you’re looking for drinks during a night out. Our residents at 1177 Market, 33 8th, 1190 Mission, and 1188 Mission get to Chinatown in 15 minutes on the MUNI’s new T-line.

Having a nice night out with delicious food doesn’t have to break the bank and Beit Rima is a spot that fits the bill. Serving Arabic comfort food, the menu has tasty items including different kinds of mezze like hummus, baba ganoush, lebna, baked halloumi, and more. Falafel, chicken skewers, and whole-fried branzino are great options for sharing. Their location on Church St is only an 8-minute walk from our apartments at 230 Dolores and 240 Dolores!
