Chocolate, beer, coffee and maybe even chocolate coffee beer are some of the treats you can enjoy at the ferry building, all with the Bay in the background. A popular destination during the summer (and yes touristy on the weekends), the Ferry Building is a wonderland where cravings are satisfied. A foodie haven. Coffee first: what better way to kick start your day than with San Francisco’s best, Blue Bottle (available every day) and Sightglass (Saturdays, Farmer’s Market).
“Best clam chowder in the Bay” is quite a statement and one made by several Yelpers. Though a bit touristy and no reservations, Hog Island is still a must. Clams, oysters, yummy drinks to pair with (including a killer Bloody Mary), more clams and oysters, and a gorgeous view of the Bay, this is an island worth stickin’ around.
Local brewery Fort Point offers tasty beer and outdoor seating facing Embarcadero Street, making it great for people watching under the sun. Grab a pint and enjoy.
