Trinity Spotlight: Andrew, Maintenance Team Leader

April 13, 2017

Andrew recently joined Trinity and has immediately made an impact!  We recently caught up with him, where he talked about being a child actor and the role he would play in Game of Thrones. Read below to learn more about Andrew!

What brought you to Trinity?

The opportunity to be one of the leaders at Trinity and the culture. I saw it at our annual holiday party. It had such a small family feel. Also hearing Dave (Director of Facilities) speak and how Bayardo (Employee of the Year) was awarded, there is a level of recognition there.

You were pretty animated at the annual holiday party. Please share.

(Laughs) I gotta support my guys. Ron (Maintenance Tech) was recognized and I want to show them how proud I am of them. I think it’s important as a leader to show that level of support.

Something most people don’t know about you?

I was a child actor. I did commercials when I was a kid up to the age of 9, but I think they only aired in Europe (laughs). I have a few memories of it. It’s was in the 80’s, it was the thing to do, and my folks thought it might be fun. My mom still has the head shots.

Advice to an ambitious assistant tech?

If you’re asked to do something outside of your comfort zone, try it and you’ll become more of an asset. Be open to learning new things. This can be a career with lots of opportunities!

If you took a different path professionally, where do you think you’d be?

I love video games. It’s my after work Martini, kick on the slippers. If I had to do it all over again, I’d go to school to learn about video games. I think it’d be cool to be the lead for the next Madden. They have horrible graphics. As far as I know, FIFA and NBA2K lead the way. I’m also a fan of The Witcher and Final Fantasy.

Favorite TV show?

I love Game of Thrones, it was the first show where I read the books before I saw the show. My favorite characters are Tyrion and Jamie Lannister, especially in the book. I wouldn’t mind playing Jamie Lannister in Game of Thrones, though that’s not likely to happen (laughs).

Favorite work order?

As funny as it sounds, garbage disposals (laughs). It’s pretty much plumbing and my background is in plumbing.

What his team is saying:

“What really stood out to me when I interviewed Andrew was his interest in our culture! He asked what kind of things employees engage in outside of work. I’m really excited to see him at our upcoming bowling event and grand opening of the Piazza at Trinity Place.”-Amy Hull, SVP

“Andrew has been an amazing addition to the Trinity Place Team. His vast knowledge of the industry has made his transition to the new job very smooth. Andrew is always willing to help out and go the extra mile to make sure the building is running smoothly.”-Robert Kane, Trinity Place Property Manager
